Why my Android 11 TV (TCL, Sony etc) is showing black screen or waiting for content ?
Your Android TV might display a black screen or show a "waiting for content" message due to one of the following reasons:
- Recent Android Update from Version 9 to 11:
If your Android operating system has recently been updated to version 11, we recommend installing the latest Pickcel app available here. Once the app is installed, please ensure that you grant permissions for all media files in the settings. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to enable these media permissions in the "Steps to Enable Media Permissions" section.
- Use of an Outdated Pickcel App (Version Older than 5.1):
If you are currently using a Pickcel app version that is older than 5.1, we advise you to install the most recent Pickcel app, which can be found here. After the installation, please make sure to grant permissions for all media files in the settings. Detailed guidance on enabling these media permissions is available in the "Steps to Enable Media Permissions" section.
