How to Display SharePoint Pages on Your Screens Using Pickcel's SharePoint App ?

The Pickcel SharePoint App revolutionizes how you share information from your Microsoft SharePoint environment onto digital signage screens. This powerful integration allows you to display SharePoint pages, news, and updates directly to your audience. Whether you need to showcase a single, critical page or present a loop of multiple pages in a dynamic slideshow, the SharePoint app offers versatile display options with customizable styles and the convenience of QR code access for detailed viewing.

Accessing the SharePoint App

1.  Log in to the Pickcel console
2.  From the left-hand navigation menu, click on **Apps**.
3.  In the search bar, type "SharePoint" and select the app from the results.

Steps to Create Your SharePoint App

1. Sign in to Microsoft

The first step is to securely connect your Pickcel account with your SharePoint environment.
  1. Click the "Sign in to Microsoft" button.
  2. A Microsoft authentication window will appear. Enter your MS credentials. If your organization uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), follow the prompts to complete the sign-in process.
  3. Upon successful authentication, the app will automatically fetch and display all SharePoint sites that your account has access to.

2. Select Your SharePoint Site & Configure Display Style

Once authenticated, you'll configure how your SharePoint content will be presented on your screens
  1. Name:  Give your app a descriptive name (e.g., "Company News & Updates," "Department Intranet," "Project Management Hub").
  2. Select Site: From the dropdown list, choose the specific SharePoint site you wish to display content from. This list is populated automatically after you sign in to Microsoft.

  3. Enable Slide Show:  Toggle this ON if you want the app to loop through all available pages within the selected SharePoint site, creating a dynamic slideshow.

If ON:  You will need to enter a Post Duration (in seconds). This determines how long each SharePoint page will be displayed before transitioning to the next

  4. If OFF: You will be prompted to select a single page from the chosen site to display. This is ideal for showcasing a specific, static piece of information.
  5. Select Style: Choose a visual theme for how your SharePoint pages will be rendered on the screen i,e circle, classic or full view style. Experiment with these styles to find the best fit for your content and brand.
  6. Show QR Code:  Toggle this ON to display a QR code on the screen alongside your SharePoint content. Viewers can scan this QR code with their smartphones to open the full SharePoint page in their mobile browser, allowing them to read more detailed information(the viewer must have access to view the page).

3. Create App

Once all your settings are configured, click the "Create App" button to finalize your SharePoint app. It's now ready to be added to a playlist and published to your digital signage network!

And just like that, you've mastered the Pickcel SharePoint app! 🎉. You're now empowered to broadcast live, dynamic content from your SharePoint environment directly to your digital screens, keeping your audience informed and engaged.
